Digital Painting has endless possibilities. It might seem strange at first, but in today's world, we are mashing up images all the time. Whether it is just by transitioning images that you as the creator have taken or from the limitless possibilities from the internet, you can create new meaning with just a program and some knowhow.

For this project, I really wanted to play with the painting portion of photoshop. I did crop images from other sources, which are sited above. I have worked with photo collage before and I wanted to push myself by adding more paint to the image. I have learned that in the painting portion, it is best to start out light and work towards darkness, much like watercolor. I am not sure about other programs discussed in class, but the tools were interesting to use. What really pushed me is creating a landscape. I rarely, in my own work, just create in this way. I only create vegetation if it serves the narrative. There is a nice quality and ease when working this way. There are no fumes to worry about especially when working at home. Though I still will be mainly be working with traditional materials, digital painting and art will help me create new ideas and ways of thinking. It will also open me up to new possibilities.
